Shipping
Nothing is cut before you order, so the wait is bench time, not warehouse time. Here is what that looks like.
Lead time
5–6 weeks from when you order. Everything is made after the order comes in.
Rush placement moves you to the front of the queue for $60 and ships in 10 business days. Retirement and presentation pieces need 8 weeks, not 6, so give me as much notice as you can.
The queue is honest. If something is going to be late, you hear it from me first.
What it costs
Free on orders over $250. Under that, shipping is a flat $15 anywhere in the United States.
The shop ships within the United States only right now. If you are outside the US, email me before you order and I will tell you straight whether I can get it to you.
How it ships
UPS with tracking, from Indiana, USA. Your piece is wrapped in paper with a care card that tells you how to keep the leather alive.
When it goes out, you get an email with the tracking number and a link to follow it.
Department orders of 6 pieces or more ship together as one order.
Before it ships
The same day you order, you get an email with your options written back to you and your place in the queue. Wrong size? Say so then, not later.
Before the hide is stained and stitched, you get a photo of it cut and laid out. That is the last chance to change any of your cart options.
If your measurements look off, I call before I cut.
If something goes wrong in transit
Packages ship insured. If one arrives damaged or stops moving in tracking, email me at orders@martinleatherworking.com, with a photo if there is damage, and keep the packaging until we have sorted it.
I file the claim with UPS and rebuild your piece, and a rebuild takes about half the normal bench time since I already have your measurements and options.
Questions about fit, care, or repairs are on the Sizing and FAQ page, and repairs are covered under Returns and repairs.
