What the site collects

When you order, checkout collects your name, email, phone number, and shipping and billing address, along with the options you picked. The phone number is there because I call about questionable measurements before cutting.

When you send a custom order request or feedback, I get what you typed into that form, plus anything you attach.

If you join the mailing list, I keep your email address for that list and nothing else.

Your card details

Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe on their own checkout page. Your card number never reaches this site or the shop, and it is not stored here.

Who else handles it

Only the services that run the shop: Stripe for payments, Resend for email, Supabase for the order list, and Vercel for hosting. Each one sees only what it needs to do its job.

Your details are used to build and ship your order, to answer your questions, and to keep the shop records straight. They are not sold, and they are not handed to anyone else.

What this site does not do

No analytics, no advertising trackers, no pixels, and no cookies following you around. Your cart is kept in your own browser, not on a server, and it is gone when you clear it.

Email from the shop

Order email is the part of buying something: a confirmation with your options, a photo before stitching, and tracking when it ships.

The mailing list is separate and only goes out if you asked for it. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link, and you can drop holiday offers while keeping shop news, or leave altogether.

Photos of your gear

Nothing you send is published without asking you first, and department or station markings get removed if a photo is ever used. The feedback form says the same thing.

Getting your details removed

Email orders@martinleatherworking.com and I will remove you from the mailing list and delete what I can. Records tied to a completed order are kept for the shop books and for the repair promise, which runs for as long as you are working.
