How to measure
  1. Worn over your bunker coat — put both pants and coat on.
  2. Measure around where you intend to wear the belt.
  3. Snug, not tight.
  4. Outside the ranges? Call and we’ll figure it out.
Care & what not to do
DoWipe with a damp cloth. Oil lightly twice a year. Dry slowly at room temperature. Send it back for re-stitching instead of retiring it.
Don’tNo machine washing, no drying on a radiator or in the sun, no petroleum solvents, no mink oil — it softens the temper.
Shipping & returns

Made to order in 5–6 weeks, then UPS with tracking. Custom-stamped pieces can’t be returned, but sizing or workmanship problems get fixed or remade at no charge — email me first.

Anatomy of the belt

Every detail, up close

The parts you cannot see in a catalog photo are the parts that fail first on cheap gear. Here is what you are actually buying.

Built-in axe holder
Built-in axe holderEvery Truck Belt ships with the axe holder already on it — standard, not an add-on.
Solid hardware
Solid hardwareCast brass, nickel, or blackened steel depending on what is in stock. No plated pot metal, nothing that shears under a load.
Burnished edges
Burnished edgesEvery edge is beveled, wet-slicked, and waxed by hand so it sheds water instead of drinking it.

Built for the job

01
Worn over the coat

Built to sit over your bunker coat, not your pants — the truck belt has its own fit for a reason.

02
Axe holder included

Standard on every Truck Belt, no upcharge — it is what the belt is built around.

03
Add a tool ring

+$30 for a second attachment point, if the axe holder is not enough by itself.

04
2" wide, 9–10 oz Hermann Oak

Heavy enough to carry real tool weight over a shift, tempered so it breaks in without going limp.

Repairs for life

Made to order

How your belt gets made

Nothing is cut before you order. Five weeks of bench time, in this order.

Bench photo needed
01
Your numbers checked

Measurements read against your coat and pants, worn together. If something looks off, I call before a knife touches the hide.

Cut from one side02
Cut from one side

Laid out on a single Hermann Oak side, around scars and stretchy belly, so your belt is one continuous piece.

Bench photo needed
03
Stamped and set

Name, department, or badge struck in 1 inch letters. Axe holder and hardware riveted at the stress points.

Bench photo needed
04
Sewn and set

Stitched, then hardware riveted at the buckle and tail. Nothing gets rushed to hit a ship date.

Burnished and shipped05
Burnished and shipped

Edges slicked and waxed, leather oiled once, then UPS with a care card.

Questions on this piece

Sizing & FAQ

Full sizing & FAQ →
What does the axe holder attach to?

It's built into the belt itself, not a separate strap-on piece — it's there the moment the belt ships.

How long until my order ships?

5–6 weeks from when you order — everything is made after the order comes in. Rush placement is +$60 and ships in 10 business days.

Can you match my department's specs?

Usually. Send the spec sheet or a photo of an approved piece through the custom order form and I'll tell you straight whether I can match it.

Do you do department or bulk orders?

Yes — six pieces or more gets bulk pricing and one invoice. Purchase orders are fine; net 30 for departments.
